NATICK —
A bicyclist struck by an SUV last Saturday has died, police said yesterday.

Police learned at 5 p.m. Friday that the victim had died, police spokesman Lt. Brian Grassey said.

Police did not release the name of the driver or the victim. Grassey referred all questions to the Middlesex district attorney’s office.

Middlesex spokeswoman Jessica Venezia said the case is being investigated and she would not release the name of the driver or the victim. Police communications the night of the accident and pictures taken by a Daily News photographer indicated the driver is an elderly man.

Last Saturday, police responded to West Central Street near Eliot Healthcare Center on Mill Street for a report of a bicycle accident at 8 p.m.

The victim, a 35-year-old Natick man, was struck by a Ford Explorer and suffered head and abdominal injuries. He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

No other information has been released.
