A 61-year-old Bolton woman has been cited by police on two driving violations and one criminal charge following the Nov. 18 accident in South Natick when a bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a car and dragged more than 800 feet.

Lorraine Peterson, of 359 Berlin Road, has been cited with failure to yield and failure to use care in stopping, said Lt. Brian Grassey.

A criminal charge has also been filed in Natick District Court, though police redacted that charge in a copy of the accident report released to the Daily News, citing public records law that permits redaction of criminal charges until probable cause has been determined in court.

"We decline to comment on what that charge is," Grassey said.

Peterson is scheduled to appear in Natick District Court on Monday at 9:30 a.m. for a hearing.
Police also declined to release information on the 30-year-old bicyclist, from the Auburndale section of Newton, who was injured in the accident. The man was last listed in serious condition at UMass Memorial Medical Center.

"We never release victim information," Grassey said.

The accident occurred at 7:25 p.m. on Nov. 18, when a 2002 Volvo traveling south on Union Street stopped at the end of the connector road at Eliot Street, or Rte. 16, police said.

The driver turned left and struck a bicyclist traveling west on Eliot Street, and the bicyclist became trapped under the car and was dragged 860 feet until the Volvo was stopped by another driver, police said.
