FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A man riding a bicycle in Central Fresno was in critical condition Tuesday night after being hit by a train.
It happened shortly after 11:30 Tuesday morning at Olive and Golden State.
Witnesses told police — they saw a man on a bike go under a crossing arm.
They say he was wearing headphones while watching a train on the eastbound tracks.
The man apparently did not hear or see a train coming from the other direction.
The driver blew his horn but was unable to stop in time knocking the man and his bike about 20-feet.
